Samson Production’s CEO Inspires Future Content Creators in Vietnam
An Sung Il, CEO and Producer (PD) of Samson Production, recently delivered a special lecture on video production at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). The session was part of Samson Production’s ongoing mission to inspire young creators, share industry knowledge, and support the growth of Vietnam’s media and content ecosystem.
Career Journey: From Korean Television to Vietnam’s Creative Industry
Graduating in Journalism and Communication from Yonsei University, An Sung Il began his career as an assistant producer at Mnet, contributing to hit shows such as Voice of Korea and Superstar K4. He later worked as a sports producer at JTBC.
In 2018, he moved to Vietnam to lead the content production team at MCN Creatory, where he created popular content ranging from game shows and music videos to vlogs and web dramas, achieving tens of millions of views.
By 2020, he founded Samson Production Co., Ltd. in Vietnam, investing in a high-quality team and targeting Korean startups and enterprises in Vietnam. Within a few years, the company expanded its services across Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Phu Quoc, covering event production, stage design, audiovisual systems, and media campaigns.
Notably, Samson Production gained recognition through a viral marketing campaign for a beverage brand on Bui Vien Street, widely reported in both Vietnamese and Korean media as a benchmark success in event marketing. The company also partners with top Korean corporations such as Lock&Lock, Korea Investment Management, Chokwang Paint, Chungho Nais.
In a market where South Korea faces a shortage of young media professionals and rising labor costs, Samson Production Vietnam has become a trusted partner for global enterprises.

At UEH, the lecture went beyond technical production skills. An Sung Il challenged students to reflect on philosophical and ethical questions about creativity in the AI era. Students asked: “In an age driven by AI, how far can human creativity and emotions in video production go, and why are they still essential?” These deep discussions expanded students’ perspectives, leaving a strong impression about the importance of authenticity and human connection in media production.

This initiative is more than a lecture—it represents the potential for long-term collaboration between Korea and Vietnam in the digital media industry, fostering sustainable growth and cultural exchange.
